Refund & Cancellation Policy

At VK Catering, we take pride in delivering fresh, quality meals on time. Please read our refund and cancellation policy carefully before placing an order or subscribing to a meal plan.

Important: As our meals are freshly prepared daily to order, cancellations and refunds are subject to the timelines specified below. Once a meal has been prepared or dispatched, we are unable to offer a refund.

1. One-Time Orders

Cancellation

  • Before preparation begins: Full refund — cancel at least 2 hours before the scheduled delivery slot
  • After preparation begins: No cancellation accepted as food is freshly made to order
  • After dispatch: No cancellation or refund

Refund Eligibility

  • Order cancelled within the eligible window (see above)
  • Incorrect item delivered — contact us within 30 minutes of delivery with a photo
  • Order not delivered due to our error
  • Duplicate payment charged

2. Monthly Subscription Plans

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from the app or by contacting us
  • Cancellations take effect from the next billing cycle — no mid-month cancellations are processed
  • If you cancel within 24 hours of subscribing and no meals have been delivered, a full refund will be issued

Partial Refund for Remaining Days

  • If you cancel after meals have begun and have genuine reasons (hospitalisation, relocation, etc.), we will consider a pro-rata refund for undelivered meals at our discretion
  • Request must be raised within 7 days of the last delivered meal
  • Processing fee of ₹99 applies to all mid-cycle refunds

Pause Facility

Instead of cancellation, we recommend using the Pause feature — up to 5 days per month can be paused, and those days will be extended to the end of your subscription period at no extra charge.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

  • Meals not collected when delivery was attempted (customer unavailable)
  • Change of mind after food has been prepared or delivered
  • Partial consumption of delivered meals
  • Requests made after 24 hours of the delivery
  • Dissatisfaction with spice level or taste (subjective preferences)

4. Quality Complaints

If you receive a meal that appears spoiled, contaminated or significantly different from what was ordered, please:

  • Do not consume it
  • Take a clear photograph of the meal and packaging
  • Contact us within 30 minutes of delivery via WhatsApp at 098400 88797
  • We will investigate and either replace the meal or issue a full refund

5. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days
  • Refunds are credited to the original payment method (UPI, card, netbanking)
  • For UPI payments, refunds typically reflect within 2–3 working days
  • We do not issue cash refunds

6. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund or cancellation:

  • Email: info@vkcatering.in with your order number and reason
  • App: Use the "My Orders" section to raise a cancellation request
